CoreData’s 2021 Licensee Research is now open

Published 7 September 2021

You’re invited to take part in this annual industry-standard financial advice research project to share your views and opinions about the quality and performance of your licensee.

The CoreData Licensee Research creates the most comprehensive and in-depth analysis of how licensees are supporting financial advisers to run profitable businesses and deliver high-quality advice to consumers.

Your confidential participation in the 2021 project will help to show, among other things,  how licensees have:

• helped advisers and their businesses adapt to changed conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic,
• helped advisers comply with new education professional and ethical standards,
• helped to improve the performance and sustainability of advice business and the delivery of advice,
• supported advisers in dealing with an ever-growing burden of compliance,
• acted in relation to the interests of advisers and their clients,
• advocated for advisers, advice business and the advice profession, and
• fostered a clear sense of community and peer-support for advisers in their networks.

The results of the Licensee Research also form the basis of CoreData’s widely-recognised Licensee of the Year Awards. In 2020 GPS Wealth, Affinia, Lifespan, Sentry, Matrix and RI Advice were each finalists.

If you think your licensee is worthy of recognition for the job it’s doing supporting you, this project is an opportunity to let us know. Or, if you think there are things it could be doing better this is an opportunity to let us know that, too.

The CoreData Licensee Research benchmarks the structure, pricing, value and quality of licensee offers across the industry. Its insights are is valued by licensees who want to gain understanding of how their advisers rate them compared to how advisers in other licensee networks rate their licensees.

It creates an evidence base for improving services to advisers, and for consolidating the elements of offers already highly rated by advisers. Because all responses to the research are anonymous and individual responses remain strictly confidential, licensees value the unvarnished feedback provided by advisers.

When the results are in we’ll report the top-level findings in collaboration with Professional Planner, and on CoreData’s own website, New Model Adviser.

Last year more than 660 financial advisers took part in the project, and this is your opportunity to contribute in 2021. Even if you’ve completed other CoreData surveys – or surveys from other organisations – in recent weeks, we invite you to take part in this landmark annual research project.
